On the 22nd, Netflix announced the production confirmation of the new series The Glory (written by Kim Eun-sook, directed by Ahn Gil-ho). It depicts a woman whose soul was shattered by violence in her childhood, meticulously preparing a lifelong plan for revenge.
Writer Kim Eun-sook, known for dramas such as Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, Secret Garden, and Lovers in Paris, teams up with director Ahn Gil-ho, who directed Happiness, Record of Youth, Memories of the Alhambra, and Stranger.
Actors Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon, Yum Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, and Jung Sung-il appear in the series. Song Hye-kyo takes on the role of the protagonist Moon Dong-eun, reuniting with writer Kim Eun-sook since Descendants of the Sun. She portrays a character who, as a victim of horrific school violence, plans revenge against both perpetrators and bystanders with her entire life at stake.
