[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ Freshway announced on the 22nd that it is partnering with Organic Maker Cooperative's healing food specialty brand ‘Jayeondream’ to develop new products and expand strategic product lines.
The goal of this agreement is to maximize distribution competitiveness in strategic channels by introducing Jayeondream’s products, which have shown strong performance in the school, kids, senior, and patient meal markets, through CJ Freshway’s largest domestic food ingredient distribution network. Both companies plan to establish a close cooperation system covering the entire process of planning, production, distribution, and marketing.
Jayeondream is a brand that develops and offers various high-quality foods such as eco-friendly and organic agricultural products, foods made with deep ocean water and deep sea salt, and livestock products raised with non-genetically modified (Non-GMO) grains, catering to customers with high demand for premium foods and preference for healthy eating.
Since May, CJ Freshway has been exclusively supplying some of Jayeondream’s products to various distribution channels including schools, kids, and hospitals. This agreement was promoted based on positive responses from many clients regarding these product lines. Both companies will continue to expand the exclusive distribution items while also developing new products. Jointly developed products will be sequentially introduced starting in September through CJ Freshway’s private brand (PB), beginning with beverages, bread, cookies, and gim (seaweed).
Jung Sungpil, CEO of CJ Freshway, stated, “As interest in healthy food continues to grow across all generations, this collaboration will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen our competitiveness in the market. We will continue to expand our premium product line, which is gaining attention for various demands such as meals for growing children and the elderly, patient meals, and healthy foods, to meet the expectations of more consumers.”
