Sancheong-gun Officially Begins Preparations for Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival The 22nd Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival is holding a practical meeting.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province held a working-level meeting to solidify the substance of the 22nd Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival, which will be held from September 30 to October 10.


On the 21st, the county held a festival working meeting chaired by Vice Governor Jo Hyeong-ho, attended by more than 20 related officials, and began full-scale festival preparations.


At the meeting, based on the basic plan decided at the festival committee general meeting held on the 13th, detailed event operation plans were intensively discussed. In addition, each unit event was assigned to a responsible department, and discussions were held on ways to prepare a substantial festival.


In particular, this year’s festival theme, “Heal&休, Glad to Come to Sancheong Today,” was expanded with new experience and participation programs, and event operation plans that contribute to revitalizing the local economy were prepared.


The county plans to reflect the results of the working meeting along with the basic festival plan and continuously supplement and improve any shortcomings through upcoming interim and final reporting meetings.


A county official said, “Since the actual festival is being held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, interest in the festival is very high,” and added, “We will prepare thoroughly to ensure the festival meets tourists’ expectations.”


Meanwhile, the Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival, designated as a government cultural tourism festival for three consecutive years since 2020, will open at 6 p.m. on September 30 and run until October 10 at the festival plaza at the entrance of Sancheong Nadeulmok and the Donguibogam Village area.
