Hapcheon-gun Conducts 'Visiting Resident Autonomy Education' Providing community autonomy education to about 20 members of the Residents' Autonomy Committee


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted the '2022 Visiting Resident Autonomy Education' on the 20th at the Daeyang-myeon Office meeting room for about 20 members of the Daeyang-myeon Resident Autonomy Committee.


This education was prepared to strengthen local autonomy capabilities through the correct direction of resident autonomy and excellent cases. Starting with Daeyang-myeon on the 20th, it is scheduled to be held in all towns and townships until November.


On the day, instructor Cha Hyun-ji, the executive director of the Gyeongnam Resident Autonomy Association, was invited to conduct education focusing on resident autonomy cases, covering the concept of resident autonomy and activation plans.


A member of the Resident Autonomy Committee who participated in the education said, "I did not properly understand the concept of resident autonomy before, but through the education conducted with various cases, I was able to understand resident autonomy well. I will participate more actively for the development of our township."


County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, "We provide visiting education to towns and townships for the convenience of local residents' educational participation," adding, "Resident autonomy means 'residents themselves taking the lead to solve local problems,' and we hope for much interest and participation from residents in this education for regional development."
