EasyCareTech Registers Patent for Non-Face-to-Face Medical Technology Integrating Telemedicine and Hospital Information Systems

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] EzCareTech announced on the 21st that it has completed patent registration for its telemedicine technology.

The patent is titled "Method, Device, and System for Providing Video Consultation Services," with integration with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) as a key feature. This technology is applied to EzCareTech's telemedicine solution, ezOntheCall.

In telemedicine using video calls, there was a problem that patient information was difficult to utilize during consultations due to the lack of HIS integration. To check patients' medical records and consultation history, separate access to the HIS was required, and since consultation details were not recorded, managing history was also difficult. Additionally, the patient authentication process was simple, making security relatively vulnerable.

With ezOntheCall, it is possible to save consultation details and view history without accessing the HIS, and data transmission and reception can be performed, improving convenience for medical staff and continuity of care. Security was also enhanced with a three-step authentication process upon entering the telemedicine space.
