Hwasun-gun to Operate 'Reading Culture Program' Until September

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 20th that it will operate various reading culture programs until September to provide cultural and educational opportunities to residents who have been deprived of them due to COVID-19.

The county plans to operate the 3rd phase of cultural programs, which started on the 12th, until September 16.

For the general public, the program "Books that Comfort the Heart," which offers solace through books, is being operated. For 1st and 2nd-grade elementary school students, the programs "Science Experiments with K'NEX," which provides a sensory-rich science experience, and "Kka? Ba~ Picture Book Question Play," which combines Havruta with creativity, thinking skills, and communication abilities, are being offered.

For young children, the program "Let's go to the English Fairy Tale Land," a storytelling class using English picture books, is being conducted.

Anyone who is a resident of Hwasun-gun is eligible to participate in the programs.

The county strictly adheres to quarantine rules such as providing hand sanitizers and wearing masks to prepare for a resurgence of COVID-19 while operating the programs.

A county official said, "We hope this reading culture program will become a source of vitality for residents whose bodies and minds have been exhausted due to COVID-19 and provide a time to enjoy the pleasure of learning."
