Local Finance and Budget Review?... Seocho-gu Council Members' Capacity Building Training

Woo Ji-young, Director of Korea Local Politics Institute, to Give Lecture on Understanding Council Budget and Settlement on the 18th

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) conducted a training session on the 18th in the first committee room on the 3rd floor of the council building to enhance skills in budget, settlement, and administrative audit techniques.

This training was organized to strengthen the capabilities of council members ahead of the upcoming 319th extraordinary session and the first regular session to be held in September. Dr. Woo Ji-young (Director of the Korea Local Politics Research Institute) served as the instructor, delivering lectures on understanding local finance and budgets, as well as practical budget review.

Chairman Oh Se-cheol stated, “Strengthening the expertise of council members is important as it directly leads to the welfare improvement of district residents,” and added, “We will continue our efforts to become a capable and competent council.”
