KT Launches Multilingual AI Speech Synthesis Service Expressing Emotions

Launch of 'AI Voice Studio' Service

Children models are creating content using the KT AI Voice Studio.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT announced on the 19th that it has launched the 'AI Voice Studio' service, which can produce artificial intelligence (AI) voice synthesis content containing human emotions.

The AI Voice Studio consists of ‘AI Voice,’ which can synthesize 5 emotions?joy, calmness, neutrality, sadness, and anger?using 100 AI voices, and a ‘Studio’ that allows the creation of audio synthesis content such as videos using these AI voices.

In particular, KT AI Voice Studio is equipped with the ‘Emotional Dubbing’ technology, the first of its kind applied domestically. By using this ‘Emotional Dubbing’ feature, users can dub AI voices with the exact emotions they read aloud, enabling the creation of vivid AI voices. Moreover, all AI voices provided by KT AI Voice Studio support ‘multilingual synthesis’ in four languages: Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese, making it useful for creators targeting the global market.

Additionally, KT has prepared ‘Celeb AI Voice,’ which offers AI versions of famous personalities’ voices to provide attractive AI voices. The first ‘Celeb AI Voice’ is singer Yoon Do-hyun. The AI Yoon Do-hyun voice included in AI Voice Studio contains both narration and conversational styles to enable audiobook production.

KT collaborated with the reading platform ‘Millie’s Library’ to allow users to experience the excellence of AI Voice Studio. They produced an audiobook of the popular book ‘I Quit Because Human Relationships Were Difficult’ narrated by AI Yoon Do-hyun. The audiobook narrated by AI Yoon Do-hyun can be listened to on Millie’s Library.

The web version of KT AI Voice Studio offers four subscription plans based on the monthly AI voice usage: ▲Free (4000 characters) ▲Basic (12,000 KRW, 24,000 characters) ▲Pro (48,000 KRW, 120,000 characters) ▲Pro Max (120,000 KRW, 384,000 characters).

Meanwhile, KT has prepared various events to celebrate the launch of AI Voice Studio until August 7. All new subscribers will receive 24,000 characters of AI Voice Studio usage free for one month, and through a lottery, various commemorative gifts such as microphones and headsets will be awarded.
