Private Technology announced that it has been designated as an excellent research and development innovative product in 2022 by the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lee Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as ‘MSIT’) for its core technology, the ‘Data Flow Layer-Based Zero Trust Security Solution (PRIBIT Connect),’ and received a certificate of recognition.

Private Technology’s ‘PRIBIT Connect’ is a security solution applying Zero Trust (network security model) technology that allows network access only to authorized safe applications, making it applicable across all fields requiring prevention of cyber hacking. Through the ‘Data Flow Layer Zero Trust Communication Technology,’ it provides a switch that communicates only when necessary and blocks communication when not needed. This concept enables real-time control of communications occurring without user awareness, blocking various risks and leakage of critical information. This technology was first patented in the United States, and over 90 global patents for the core technology have been secured in Korea, Europe, Japan, and other regions.

The ‘Excellent Research and Development Innovative Product Designation System’ is a system established to promote private sector technological innovation by integrating public procurement and research and development policies. Designated products are recognized as innovative products for three years from the date of designation, allowing direct contracts in public procurement with the government, local governments, and others. They also become eligible for the innovative product pilot purchase project promoted at the pan-government level (with a scale of 52.5 billion KRW this year). Additionally, the government plans to promote the introduction of innovative products by granting ‘purchase indemnity’ to public sector innovative product purchasing officers, which exempts them from liability for losses incurred from purchases unless intentional or gross negligence is proven, thereby reducing the burden of purchasing innovative products.

Oh Tae-seok, First Vice Minister of MSIT, stated, “In a situation of very high uncertainty due to rapidly changing global supply chains and intensified hegemony competition, technological innovation can be a breakthrough to overcome crises. We will continue to support the development, demonstration, commercialization, and market entry linked with public procurement of innovative products based on excellent R&D outcomes so that many technology innovation products can be launched in the market.”

Kim Young-rang, CEO of Private Technology, said, “By applying core Zero Trust technology, we have successfully completed and are currently progressing multiple national R&D projects. Through this, we will apply the technology across various fields from on-premise products to cloud services to provide a safer and more convenient internet communication environment.”
