Eco-Friendly Materials Used in Soundbar Product and Packaging

[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park]LG Electronics launched its 2022 soundbar new product (model name: S95QR) in Korea on the 18th, enhancing immersive viewing experiences by further strengthening three-dimensional sound.
The new LG soundbar is the world's first to equip three up-firing speakers on the main body. Compared to previous models that had one up-firing speaker each on the left and right sides of the main body, an additional one was added in the center, making the sound richer and the sense of space wider. The up-firing speakers play an important role in creating three-dimensional sound by sending sound upwards, creating the effect of sound coming from above the head.
This product also increased the subwoofer size by 14% compared to its predecessor to enhance mid-to-low frequencies, and arranged a total of four front-facing speakers inside the rear speakers, two more than before, delivering rich sound from various angles to customers. It has the highest number of channels (9.1.5) among LG soundbars and a maximum output of 810 watts (W).
The new product uses an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to analyze the indoor space structure, correcting the sound so customers can enjoy distortion-free audio, and automatically adjusts the sound mode according to the content genre. LG Electronics applied recycled plastic materials to the main body frame and fabric exterior of the new product, and the packaging box and cushioning materials are also made from recycled paper. Recognized for such eco-friendliness, it has consecutively obtained eco-certifications from leading global organizations.
Along with the top-tier model S95QR, models S80QR (channels 5.1.3, maximum output 620 watts) and S75Q (channels 3.1.2, maximum output 380 watts) will also be released according to channel and output. Prices are ▲S95QR 1,899,000 KRW ▲S80QR 1,299,000 KRW ▲S75Q 699,000 KRW.
