In the article titled <[Sisibibi] The Korean Bar Association Opposes the Constitutional Court's Decision on Lotok> published on June 9, our newspaper reported that the Korean Bar Association continues to insist that "Lotok's business method violates the Attorney-at-Law Act," despite the Constitutional Court ruling the key disputed provisions related to Lotok as unconstitutional.
In response, the Korean Bar Association stated, "Since the Constitutional Court has not explicitly ruled that Lotok's business method is permitted, the Bar Association plans to continue disciplining lawyers who have joined Lotok. Additionally, the Constitutional Court upheld the constitutionality of some provisions for which the Ministry of Justice had issued opinions of unconstitutionality."
This report is based on mediation by the Korea Press Arbitration Commission.
