Pohang City Delivers Warm Encouragement Visiting Training Venues for Each Event of the 60th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk Province, is visiting the participating athletes to deliver strong support and encouragement ahead of the “60th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival” to be held throughout the city from the 15th to the 18th.

The three departments directly under the Vice Mayor of Pohang City?the Policy Planning Office, Public Relations Office, and Audit Office?visited the Manindang training center on the 12th to encourage the Wushu athletes participating in the 60th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival and carried out supporter activities.

On that day, the supporters who visited the training center delivered ion drinks and fruits to help relieve the fatigue accumulated from training and encouraged the athletes.

The Pohang City Wushu Supporters Group, composed of the Policy Planning Office, Public Relations Office, Audit Office, Janggi-myeon, Janggi-myeon Sports Council, and local companies, continues to cheer on the athletes and plans to visit the Wushu competition venue to deliver strong support according to the upcoming game schedule.

A city official said, “Since all the athletes have been diligently training and sweating hard even in the heatwave, we hope they will fully demonstrate their skills and achieve good results,” expressing support for the team.

On the same day, the Welfare Policy Division and the Senior and Disabled Welfare Division of the city’s Welfare Bureau visited the gymnasium of Duho High School to encourage and support the table tennis team participating in the Provincial Sports Festival, delivering fruits, beverages, and encouragement funds to the athletes who are focusing on training.

On that day, the Pohang City Table Tennis Supporters’ assistance included Choi Haegon, Vice Chairman of the Welfare and Environment Committee of the City Council, PS Company, Dongseo Development, Korea Freedom Federation Pohang Branch, Daesong-myeon, and Daesong-myeon Sports Council, who participated as members to raise the atmosphere.
