Seven Eleven starts Sky Delivery... Opens specialized store with drone station for delivery Seven Eleven Launches Drone Delivery Service.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Seven Eleven announced on the 13th that it has launched a drone delivery service in collaboration with Pablo Aviation, a startup specializing in drone logistics delivery solutions and services. Pablo Aviation is a startup widely recognized domestically and internationally for its unmanned mobility technology using drones and other devices, and is an outstanding company invested in by Lotte Ventures' startup fund.

The Seven Eleven drone delivery service store is Gapyeong Arboretum Branch No. 2, located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. This store is a specialized drone delivery store that integrates a control tower and a flight area optimized for the vertical takeoff and landing of drones around the store, allowing the entire process from delivery orders to drone delivery flights to be handled within one building.

This drone delivery service targets travelers staying at nearby pension complexes. To this end, one pension near the store has been designated for a pilot operation aimed at commercialization. The drone delivery service operates from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Saturday, and during the pilot operation period, even a single product will be delivered free of charge.

Available products for order include about 70 main general items such as instant chicken, samgyeopsal (pork belly), and beverages, as well as three special sets popular at travel destinations. Orders for the drone delivery service can be made through Oliverly, a dedicated application operated by Pablo Aviation.

Meanwhile, a service launch ceremony will be held this morning at Gapyeong Arboretum Branch No. 2. About 20 key officials, including Choi Kyungho, CEO of Seven Eleven, Jeon Youngmin, CEO of Lotte Ventures, and Kim Youngjun, CEO of Pablo Aviation, will attend the opening ceremony, which includes a ribbon-cutting and drone delivery demonstration event.

Choi Byungyong, Senior Manager of Seven Eleven's DT Innovation Team, said, “The differentiating point of Seven Eleven's drone delivery service is the drone delivery specialized convenience store model, where the store and drone station are integrated into one. There is great interest from nearby pension complex operators and travelers,” adding, “We will continue to actively adopt next-generation technologies and develop services that can enhance customer convenience.”
