Damyang-gun, Revision of COVID-19 Living Support Payment System

Application Criteria Apply to 100% or Below Median Income

Damyang-gun, Revision of COVID-19 Living Support Payment System

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 12th that it has revised the eligibility for COVID-19 living support funds to households with median income at or below 100% in accordance with the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' "Reform Plan for Financial Support System Related to COVID-19 Isolation."

Currently, COVID-19 living support funds are provided regardless of income, but starting from the 11th, they will only be given to households with median income at or below 100% (for a 4-person household, a monthly health insurance premium payment of 180,000 KRW per household member).

The revised system applies to hospitalized or isolated individuals whose isolation start date is the 11th, with fixed payments of 100,000 KRW for single-person households and 150,000 KRW for households of two or more persons.

Applicants must apply at their local eup/myeon office within three months from the isolation release date, and those released from isolation after May 13 can apply online through ‘Government24 (Bojogeum24)’.

A county official stated, “With this revision, it is expected that long-term support will be possible for those in need,” and added, “We ask for the understanding and cooperation of the residents regarding this inevitable adjustment to enhance the sustainability of government policies.”
