As of midnight that day, there were 2,096 local infections, 10 cases from overseas arrivals, and 3 deaths: one person in their 60s and two people in their 80s.

The number of confirmed cases in July is 10,565, the total cumulative confirmed cases are 1,114,813, the total number of deaths is 1,248, and the cumulative mortality rate is 0.11%.

According to the province, Changwon City, which includes Changwon with 396 cases, Masan with 181 cases, and Jinhae with 198 cases, reported the highest number of confirmed cases at 775.

Gimhae City followed with 391 cases, Yangsan City 236 cases, Jinju City 210 cases, Geoje City 191 cases, Sacheon City 66 cases, Miryang City 44 cases, and Tongyeong City reported 36 new confirmed cases.

Haman County had 35 cases, Namhae County 28 cases, Goseong County 25 cases, Uiryeong County 13 cases, Changnyeong County 12 cases, Hadong County 12 cases, Geochang County 11 cases, Sancheong County 9 cases, Hapcheon County 7 cases, and Hamyang County 5 people tested positive for COVID-19.

The province reported that the total confirmed cases for the 28th week, from July 3 to 9, were 6,638, an increase of 2,931 cases compared to 3,707 cases in the 27th week, with a daily average of 948.3 confirmed cases.

The number of confirmed cases by major regions was as follows: Changwon City accounted for 2,223 cases, or 33.5%, Gimhae City 1,179 cases or 17.8%, Yangsan City 761 cases or 11.5%, Jinju City 648 cases or 9.8%, Geoje City 567 cases or 8.5%, and Sacheon City 227 cases or 3.4%.

For the 28th week, the number of confirmed cases by age group showed that teenagers accounted for the highest proportion at 17.1%, followed by people in their 20s at 16.1%, 40s at 15.5%, and 50s at 14.3%.

According to the province's statistics, the number of confirmed cases among teenagers increased the most compared to the 27th week, while the largest decrease was observed among those aged 70 and above.
