DMC Conet Announces Recruitment for Employment-Guaranteed 'Corporate Membership SW Camp Program' Trainees

The non-profit organization DMCConet (Chairman Banghee Lee) announced on the 7th that it has partnered with the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Hongik University Sejong Campus (Director Junghui Han) and Woosong University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Director Yonghee Lee) to offer a fully funded, employment-guaranteed "Corporate Membership SW Camp Program" to vigorously nurture talent that will lead Korea's 4th Industrial Revolution.

This camp is a corporate-led employment-linked program planned by the Ministry of Science and ICT to cultivate high-level talent who can be immediately deployed in the field and linked to employment. The DMCConet consortium was selected as the executing agency and will open five courses in three regions: Big Data (Seoul/Sejong), Metaverse (Seoul), Artificial Intelligence (Daejeon), and Robot SW (Daejeon). The curriculum is designed in collaboration with membership companies that have guaranteed employment, creating customized corporate-led training programs to foster digital talent who will lead the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The program curriculum consists of in-person education, team projects and mentoring, and field training. Applications are being accepted until the 17th. The target participants are job seekers or soon-to-be graduates under the age of 34. The program will start around the end of July and run for 7.5 months (1,200 hours) until February next year. Students who complete the training will be connected to full-time employment with membership companies.

Notably, this program is open to "non-majors" as well. According to DMCConet, the curriculum is solidly structured so that even those without knowledge or work experience in the SW/IT field can grow into software experts through the training.

The biggest advantage is that the tuition is fully covered and employment is linked to full-time positions. Participating trainees will receive a monthly training stipend of 300,000 KRW, along with mentoring, employment consulting, and a package of financial and non-financial benefits to support their growth.

Kyunghak Lee, Head of DMCConet, said, “Through the Corporate Membership SW Track, we will nurture core talent in software big data prediction, big data analysis, metaverse, artificial intelligence, and robot SW education fields without distinction between majors and non-majors. By converging various fields, we will contribute to the competitiveness of Korea’s 4th Industrial Revolution and greatly aid youth job creation.”

Detailed information about the program can be found on the DMCConet website.
