The number of confirmed cases reported so far exceeds 70.
BA.2.75 has also been found in about 10 countries including the United States, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and Canada.
Local media in India reported that most infected individuals showed either no symptoms or mild symptoms.
