Connected with 'DTx East,' the Largest Event in the Digital Therapeutics Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) is taking active steps to support the global expansion of K-Digital Healthcare.
On the 11th, the institute announced that it is recruiting participating organizations for the "2022 Digital Healthcare USA (Boston) Overseas Roadshow," to be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, from September 27 to 29, with applications open until the 29th.
This roadshow will be held in Boston, one of the leading bio-clusters in the United States, home to numerous digital healthcare companies, multinational pharmaceutical firms, and medical institutions. Recently, KHIDI has strengthened its support system for domestic companies entering the U.S. market by relocating its U.S. branch office from Los Angeles (LA) to Boston. Through this, the institute plans to support the promotion of domestic digital healthcare companies and expand contact points with overseas clients, thereby establishing a foothold for the overseas market entry of excellent domestic digital healthcare technologies and services.
In particular, since the 5th "DTx East," one of the largest events in the digital therapeutics (DTx) industry, will be held in Boston during the same period, KHIDI plans to support participation in the DTx U.S. Entry Strategy Forum and networking with key local stakeholders, providing an understanding of the U.S. digital healthcare market and various business opportunities. The project will also be conducted in cooperation with the Medical Korea base office located in Boston.
Previously, KHIDI launched the "DTx U.S. Entry Corporate Council," composed of DTx-related companies preparing to enter the U.S. market. Participating companies include Herings, Welt, Neofact, Salted, EverX, and BW Biomed. Byung-ho Nam, CEO of Herings, serves as chairman, and Sung-ji Kang, CEO of Welt, serves as vice chairman.
The recruitment target is domestic digital healthcare companies and medical institutions. Approximately 10 companies will be selected through evaluation. Participating organizations will receive various benefits, including ▲provision of business-exclusive consultation spaces and interpretation services ▲arrangement and matching with local buyers and potential partners ▲holding company presentations (IR) for local demand sources and investors.
Haeng-shin Lee, Director of the International Medical Strategy Division at KHIDI, stated, "Since this roadshow is held in Boston, the largest market for digital healthcare in the U.S., we expect it to be a practical opportunity for domestic digital healthcare companies to enter overseas markets." Park Soon-man, head of KHIDI’s U.S. branch, also said, "We will do our best to ensure successful cases of domestic digital healthcare companies entering the U.S., the largest digital healthcare market, in connection with the Medical Korea base office cooperation project."
Companies and medical institutions wishing to participate in this roadshow can refer to the recruitment announcement on the KHIDI website and submit their applications by the 29th.
