With the Launch of the 8th Civilian Administration, New District Policy Goal Announced: 'Nowon, a Cultural City to Look Forward to Tomorrow'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 8th at 6 p.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, held the Vision Proclamation Ceremony for the 8th term of the elected government at the Nowon District Citizens' Hall auditorium.

On this day, Mayor Oh Seung-rok announced the new district administration goal, "Nowon, a Cultural City to Look Forward to Tomorrow," with the launch of the 8th term of the elected government.

The vision proclamation ceremony was conducted under two main themes. First, under the theme "Nowon's Tomorrow is Promising," the areas of ▲jobs ▲housing ▲transportation were selected.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok presented the district administration directions and major policies by sector, including the creation of a bio-complex centered on Seoul National University Hospital, promotion of reconstruction and redevelopment, and the Northeast Light Rail and GTX-C lines.

Next, under the theme "Nowon's Today is Happy," the areas of ▲nature ▲culture ▲education and welfare were selected, presenting a vision to integrate culture into nature and create a Nowon where all generations are happy.

The vision proclamation ceremony was attended by about 700 people, including members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, and heads of local institutions and organizations. The event proceeded with guest introductions, reading of the President's congratulatory message, screening of the Seoul Mayor's congratulatory video, oath-taking, inaugural speech, and announcement of the new vision for Nowon.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District stated, "We will pioneer Nowon's future with jobs, housing, and transportation as the three main pillars and will surely repay the residents' support with results," expressing his ambition to make Nowon greater and better over the next four years.
