[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Former President Moon Jae-in expressed condolences on the death of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the 9th.
On the same day, former President Moon wrote on Facebook, "I am very saddened and heartbroken by the sudden news of former Prime Minister Abe's passing," adding, "I pray for the repose of former Prime Minister Abe and extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to his family and the Japanese people."
Former President Moon said, "Former Prime Minister Abe was the longest-serving prime minister and received much respect and love from the Japanese people," and added, "He and I held more than 20 meetings and phone calls over a long period to discuss the development of Korea-Japan relations and peace and prosperity in Northeast Asia, making joint efforts together."
