Damyang-gun Takes First Step Toward 'A New Damyang with Residents'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Lee Byeongno) announced that it held the first briefing session on the 7th and 8th to understand the direction of county administration by department following the launch of the 8th popular election term.

This briefing session was prepared to share the progress of major tasks by department centered on the 8th popular election term county administration slogan, "Together with the New Damyang Citizens," and to discuss issues of current projects and future directions.

The briefing focused on projects to be prioritized in line with the 8th popular election term pledges, including ▲ prosperous wealthy rural areas ▲ realization of village welfare through filial administration ▲ creation of the 2nd industrial complex ▲ establishment of an administrative complex town (relocation of the health center).

In particular, it emphasized the transition from a top-down budgeting system to a bottom-up budgeting system in the agricultural budget sector, creation of odorless livestock complexes, improvement of regulations that hinder citizens' economic activities, and education to enhance employees' work capabilities and friendliness.

Governor Lee Byeongno said, "This briefing session is an important occasion to establish the direction of the 8th popular election term county administration and take the first step toward a 'New Damyang,'" and added, "I ask public officials to work together to create a happy self-reliant economic city for all in the future."
