[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeongno) announced on the 8th that it will hold the 'Author Invitation Reading Special Lecture' four times from August 25 to October 27.

This special lecture was planned to establish a humanities city that reads books and to expand the base of humanities by providing various educational participation opportunities for residents as a humanities education and traditional garden special zone.

The lecture will invite Park Soyoung, CEO of Real Humanities, to talk about famous places that inspired artists such as Ernest Hemingway and creativity under the theme of her book, 'Online Humanities Travel,' and will be conducted in an interactive discussion format communicating with participants.

The lectures will cover Vincent van Gogh on August 25, Ernest Hemingway on September 22, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on October 13, and Charles Dickens on October 27, each held at 7 p.m. in the Edu Center training room (3rd floor of Dambit Youth Culture House).

The county plans to recruit 40 residents on a first-come, first-served basis by July 29 for those who wish to participate.

A county official said, "We will contribute to the inheritance and development of humanities centered on human beings, where residents learn and grow by themselves, through the development of humanities education content and diverse programs in the future."
