Operation of Priority Period for Establishing Order During Summer Vacation Season Until the End of August

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] With the vacation season underway, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) has launched a campaign to promote compliance with daily quarantine rules and to uphold proper recreational culture at major tourist sites.

Through a comprehensive recreational order plan, Gokseong-gun has designated the period from July 2 to the end of August as the focused period for establishing sound recreational order for welcoming tourists. During this period, Gokseong-gun plans to conduct intensive management at nine major tourist spots including Dorimsa Valley, Amnok Recreation Area, and Taeansa Valley.

To this end, more than 30 recreational order guidance personnel have been deployed. They will focus on inspecting public restrooms within tourist sites, managing summer resort waste, and preventing various disorderly acts such as illegal dumping and unauthorized cooking, aiming to establish an orderly and proper recreational culture.

During this period, Gokseong-gun will also focus on inspecting safety facilities and deploying safety personnel in major water play management areas. Additionally, price control measures will be enforced, including crackdowns on overcharging and failure to display prices.

Efforts are also being made to block the influx of COVID-19 to ensure visitors can safely enjoy the tourist sites. As the number of vacationers increases nationwide during the summer holiday season, special emphasis is placed on urging tourists visiting from other regions to comply with daily quarantine rules.

A county official stated, “We are making efforts to ensure that tourists visiting our county do not experience any inconvenience. We hope that everyone who visits our county this summer has a joyful and comfortable vacation.”
