[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Under the theme of ‘1004 Islands Sinan’ depicted through watercolor, a watercolor exhibition is being held at the 1004 Agujjim Gallery in Gwangju Metropolitan City until the 28th of next month.
This exhibition showcases works including 'Constantly Developing Day by Day' by watercolor artist Yeom Soon-young of Suhwadam, displayed in the gallery set up in the corridor of 1004 Agujjim, along with pieces by Kim Eun-young, Kim Hyun-jung, Kim Sun-rye, Kim Jeong-mi, Kim Hyo-ae, Moon Pil-soon, Mok Yoon-ae, Park Eun-sang, Lee Hee-sook, Yang Eun-young, Jeong Young-nam, Jo Hoo-yeon, and Joo Jang Jeong-ui.
Members of Suhwadam express the famous spots of the 1004 Islands Sinan in various watercolor styles, allowing viewers to see beautiful landscapes that cannot be fully appreciated through photographs.
This exhibition marks the first collaboration between small business owners and the painting club, and is regarded as a positive example for both small business owners struggling with a prolonged recession and artists who have lacked exhibition spaces.
Meanwhile, after this exhibition, the Suhwadam exhibition will continue at the Dunjang Village Museum in Jaeun-myeon, Sinan County.
