Production of 'DMZ Daeseongdong'... Expected Release in the Second Half of This Year

D'Live announced on the 8th that it will load original content onto its OTT box, D'Live OTT’v. [Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] D’Live announced on the 8th that it will showcase original content through its OTT box, D’Live OTT’v.

D’Live formed a consortium with three companies?D’Live TV-Media Production, Daekyo, and FTV?among the nine producers selected in the ‘OTT Specialized Content Production Support Project’ conducted by the Korea Communications Agency (KCA), and will produce OTT specialized content.

“DMZ Daeseongdong,” a DMZ Freedom Village jointly produced by D’Live TV and Media Production, held a production presentation on the 6th. This is a four-episode human drama with action comedy elements, depicting the conflicts, exchanges, and harmony experienced in South Korea by a North Korean soldier who wins the first prize in the lottery and defects. Major filming scenes take place in the actual DMZ Daeseongdong Village. It will be available on D’Live OTT’v in the second half of this year.

D’Live stated, “Since its first launch in Korea in 2016, D’Live OTT’v has been steadily loved by providing a total of 50,000 pieces of content through over 250 applications. It is meaningful that through this original content production, we can deliver the unique color and fun of D’Live OTT’v to users.”
