Chinese digital marketing agency Channel2C has announced that it has been selected as a China market channel partner (CP) of Born2Global Center for the fifth consecutive year.
Born2Global Center is a startup support organization under the Ministry of Science and ICT that selects around 200 promising startups and SMEs with innovative technologies each year to support their overseas expansion and global business growth. Born2Global Center’s channel partners consist of specialized firms providing local market entry consulting and marketing and PR support services for Korean startups in major overseas countries such as the US, China, and Europe. Over 60 companies, including KPMG, Sejong Law Firm, and Allison Partners, are active as channel partners.
Channel2C is a China marketing specialist agency founded by marketing directors formerly from Jeil Pingtai (Cheil Worldwide’s China branch). Over the past five years, it has provided China marketing and e-commerce related services to various Korean companies such as Coway, Binggrae, apM, and Donginbi. Channel2C CEO Kim Min-su is a marketing expert with over 15 years of experience in marketing roles at Samsung Electronics’ Wireless Business Division Strategic Marketing Team and Jeil Pingtai’s Digital Marketing Team. He graduated from CEIBS, China’s top MBA school, and has lived in Shanghai for 10 years, making him a China market specialist deeply involved in Chinese business. Channel2C established its Korea office in 2019, expanding from its Shanghai headquarters, and was registered as an official partner of Tencent Korea in 2020.
Collaboration with Born2Global Center began in 2018, starting with the China PR project for IT security solution startup Norma. Since then, Channel2C has handled China market marketing projects for various high-tech companies such as deep learning-based autonomous driving software startup StradVision and digital tattoo device company Prinker. In June, Channel2C signed its fifth channel partner contract with Born2Global Center, reaffirming its capabilities as a comprehensive marketing agency in the China market.
Channel2C has extensive project experience across diverse industries including cosmetics, fashion, F&B, and electronics/IT. Particularly in terms of scope, it is one of the few China marketing agencies capable of handling the entire spectrum of China online marketing, from market research and marketing strategy development to PR, SNS management, KOL/KOC, SEM/SEO, media buying, and O2O events.
A Channel2C representative stated that they will continue to strive for more systematic support for Korean startups’ entry into the China market through ongoing cooperation with Born2Global Center.
