On the 8th, the Ministry of Justice announced that Minister Han tested positive in a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test conducted upon his return to Incheon International Airport the previous afternoon. Accordingly, Minister Han will be quarantined at home and continue his duties until the 13th. Three staff members who accompanied the minister tested negative in their diagnostic tests.
Minister Han visited Washington DC and New York from the 29th of last month for an 8-day, 7-night schedule and returned the day before.
