Rest facilities such as Mongolian tents and parasols, as well as convenience facilities including a snack bar and parking lot, will also be available. Safety and emergency personnel will be on duty at all times.

The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, the water playground operates for 45 minutes followed by a 15-minute break, and for water quality management, the pool will be maintained and facilities inspected daily from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Admission fees are 6,000 KRW for the general public and 5,000 KRW for Dobong-gu residents. Children under 36 months old (with ID or proof documents) are free. On-site admission and group reservations are also available.

Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center began operating the ‘Mobile Health Experience Center’ starting on the 6th at Seongja Elementary School in the area.

As part of the Healthy School Project, the ‘Mobile Health Experience Center,’ launched for the first time this year, visits elementary, middle, and high schools directly to educate growing children and adolescents on the importance of health through hands-on experiences. Children and adolescents can learn about smoking and drinking prevention and proper handwashing by experiencing them firsthand at the center.

The experience center held at Seongja Elementary School operated three health booths: ▲Smoking Prevention Booth ▲Drinking Harm Prevention Booth ▲Handwashing Education Booth.

Fourth-grade students at Seongja Elementary visually confirmed the actual amount of tar accumulated in the lungs when smoking one pack of cigarettes per year at the Smoking Prevention Booth. They also experienced walking while wearing drinking simulation glasses to indirectly feel the effects of alcohol at the Drinking Harm Prevention Booth. At the Handwashing Education Booth, students applied fluorescent lotion on their hands, washed them, and then checked their hands under a UV box to learn the correct handwashing method.

The district plans to operate the ‘Mobile Health Experience Promotion Center’ at elementary, middle, and high schools until the end of November. The health booths cover six themes: ▲Nutrition and Obesity ▲Smoking Prevention ▲Drinking Prevention ▲Growth Exercises ▲Food Safety ▲Handwashing.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “The Mobile Health Experience Center complements the shortcomings of theoretical education by allowing growing children and adolescents to personally realize the importance of health. We hope children and adolescents grow into healthy adults.”

The water playground is equipped with one large pool and two medium pools to accommodate about 300 people, and also features a large water slide for children. Additionally, various auxiliary facilities such as parasols, snack bars, showers, changing rooms, and restrooms have been established to enhance convenience for residents.

The outdoor water playground will operate without holidays during the period but may close during severe weather for safety. Wearing swimsuits and swim caps is mandatory for pool entry, and children under 7 years old must have safety equipment such as tubes. Safety equipment and water play items can be purchased at the snack bar inside the pool.

The usage fee is 4,000 KRW for adults and 3,000 KRW for elementary school students or younger per session. Children under 36 months can use the facility free of charge with proof such as a resident registration certificate. Payment can be made by card or cash on-site.
