[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Regarding the People Power Party Ethics Committee's decision to suspend Lee Jun-seok's party membership for six months, the Democratic Party responded with "justice has been served."

On the 8th, Shin Hyun-young, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, stated, "Given the gravity of the position as the ruling party leader and the nature of the allegations raised, a severe punishment is justified," adding, "The allegations of sexual bribery against Representative Lee still carry the label of suspicion."

Spokesperson Shin pointed out, "The People Power Party did not make a judgment on the shocking allegations against the party leader," and emphasized, "Not only Lee Jun-seok, who received the severe punishment, but also the People Power Party, which avoided making a crucial judgment, must sincerely apologize to the public."

He criticized, "During the presidential and local election processes, the People Power Party was only eager to evade this issue, blinded the public, and disgracefully used the Ethics Committee's disciplinary action against Representative Lee as a tool in the internal party power struggle."

Spokesperson Shin concluded, "Throughout all the processes leading to today's severe punishment, the responsibility as a public party and duty to the people were thoroughly neglected," and stated, "Regardless of the disciplinary action against Representative Lee, it is clear that the People Power Party is also an accomplice in this incident, and we demand a responsible apology and reflection from the People Power Party."
