[Tomorrow's Weather] Mostly Cloudy Nationwide... Rain Between 3 and 6 PM [Image source=Yonhap News]

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] On Friday the 8th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy with occasional rain between 3 PM and 6 PM.

Expected precipitation by the 8th is 10 to 60 mm (with some areas exceeding 80 mm) in the central region (excluding the Gangwon East Coast), southern region, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island; 5 to 30 mm in Jeju Island (excluding mountainous areas), the five western islands, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and the Gangwon East Coast.

In particular, the southern region may experience very heavy rain exceeding 30 to 50 mm per hour accompanied by strong gusts, thunder, and lightning from midnight to 3 AM and again between 3 PM and 6 PM.

With heatwave warnings in effect across most regions nationwide, the highest perceived temperature will rise to around 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, making it very hot, and many places will experience tropical nights (nighttime minimum temperature of 25 degrees or higher).

Temperatures may temporarily drop where rain falls, but once the rain stops, temperatures will rise again, and the high humidity will increase the perceived temperature.

The morning low temperature is predicted to be between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of precipitation.

Fog may form in the southern coast and western island areas until late morning (9 AM to 12 PM), so caution is advised for maritime safety.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea coastal waters.

Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 1.0 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
