Following Nurungseom Chips, Two Types of Color Sikhe to Cool Down Summer Heat Produced

They brewed sikhye using high-quality rice produced in Sinan and added purple and yellow hues to create colored sikhye.
The 'Purple Sikhye,' made by adding purple sweet potato, is a purple-hued sikhye that any tourist visiting Purple Island, the UN World Tourism Organization's Best Tourism Village in Sinan, would want to taste, made while preserving the traditional flavor.
The 'Yellow Sikhye,' made with pumpkin, has the color of blooming daffodils and tastes even better when served as a slushy with crushed ice.
The Sinan-gun Agricultural Products Processing Center successfully released its first product, Nurungseom Chips, completed HACCP certification and self-quality inspection for the production of the second product, colored sikhye, and the processing center's consignment operation chain, 'Matitssang Farming Association Corporation,' began full-scale production on the 6th.
Colored sikhye will be supplied first to Sinan's representative tourist spots such as Purple Bridge, Pilgrim's Island Byeongpungdo, and Odo, and will later expand distribution to online malls and marts.
Park Woo-ryang, Sinan County Governor, said, "The Agricultural Products Processing Center is a place that incubates small-scale processing startups for farmers without initial facility investment, and I hope farmers interested in processing will actively utilize it," adding, "We will do our best to support product development and sales so that farm income can increase through the production of safe food."
