Focus on Communication and Collaboration Considering Work Competency
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education carried out a regular personnel reshuffle for 29 local government officials at grade 5 or higher, effective July 8.
The personnel changes include 2 promotions and 27 transfers. Among the promotions, there is 1 at grade 3 and 1 at grade 4.
Notably, this personnel reshuffle is the first executive-level appointment since the inauguration of Superintendent Lee Jeong-seon in the 4th direct election term, focusing on appointing capable talents to key positions who can realize the new Gwangju education's innovative inclusive education policies and pledges.
Key appointments include grade 3 promotion ▲Hyun Kyung-sik, Director of Gwangju Student Education and Culture Center (currently Acting Director), grade 4 promotion ▲Jung Young-mi, Education Autonomy Division (Education Cooperation Officer) (currently in charge of personnel at the General Affairs Division), and grade 4 transfers ▲Kim Jeong-yeon, Education and Culture Specialist at Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Education Cooperation Officer) ▲Kim Yong-il, Head of Labor Policy Division (currently Head of Finance and Welfare Division) ▲Noh Jeong-hwan, Head of Safety General Division (currently General Affairs Manager at Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center) ▲Jung Eun-nam, Head of General Affairs Division (currently Head of Labor Policy Division) ▲Yang Kyu-hyun, Head of Education Autonomy Division (currently Head of Safety General Division) ▲Lim Chang-ho, Head of Finance and Welfare Division (currently Education and Culture Specialist at the City Council).
Seon Gye-ryong, Acting Director of the Administrative Bureau, stated, “To ensure a strong start for the newly beginning Gwangju education, we have conducted key personnel appointments considering work ability and experience, and to maximize the capabilities of organizational members through communication and cooperation.”
