Gwangyang City Council Begins Active Legislative Activities with Visits to Related Organizations and Groups


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang City Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Seo Young-bae) announced that it officially began the first half of the 9th City Council's legislative activities by visiting major related organizations and groups in the area over two days on the 6th and 7th.


This visit marked the first step of the first half of the 9th Gwangyang City Council's legislative activities. The council met with heads of related organizations and groups to introduce the council's composition and discuss various cooperation plans for operating a citizen-centered open council.


The City Council visited six related organizations and groups, including the Gwangyang Office of Education, NH Nonghyup Gwangyang Branch, Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority, and Gwangyang Fire Station, to listen to key issues and opinions from each institution.


Chairman Seo Young-bae stated, "Organic communication and cooperation between institutions are more important than anything else for citizen happiness and regional development," and added, "We hope you continue to show interest in the Gwangyang City Council."


He further conveyed his intention to "actively reflect the difficulties of related organizations in legislative work" and added, "The 9th Gwangyang City Council in the first half will continue to carry out open legislative activities that communicate and empathize with citizens, focusing on the field."
