[Seoul District News] Gangnam-gu Influencers Introduce and Sell Products of 14 Small Businesses via Chinese SNS Platforms... Jung-gu Supports Low-Income Families with 'Temporary Emergency Living Stabilization Fund'... Jongno-gu Hosts Special Lecture on 'Coexistence with Animals' for a Sustainable World
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) conducted eight sessions of the ‘Chinese Version Live Commerce’ from the 20th to the 30th of last month, achieving sales of 108 million KRW and signing B2B (Business to Business) letters of intent worth 10.6 billion KRW.
The ‘Chinese Live Commerce Export Marketing’ project is held at the COEX Studio in Samseong-dong, where Chinese influencers introduce and sell promising export products from small and medium-sized enterprises in Gangnam-gu directly to local consumers through popular Chinese platforms such as WeChat. Gangnam-gu and the Korea International Trade Association jointly promote the project and support the entire process of live commerce production and broadcasting.
Gangnam-gu first launched this project last year, supporting 12 companies and achieving sales of 100 million KRW and B2B contracts worth 2.4 billion KRW. This year, the support scale was increased, selecting 14 beauty and fashion companies including J Medical Inter, providing additional support such as promotional video production for each company and entry into B2B e-commerce platforms ‘TradeKorea’ and ‘Kmall24’.
In particular, ‘Miss K Co., Ltd.’ sold out its inventory in China during the broadcast period and received a letter of intent for purchase worth approximately 5 billion KRW, the largest single contract from local buyers.
Lee Gi-seon, Director of the Regional Economy Division, said, “Although there were difficulties such as intensified logistics problems due to repeated Chinese lockdown measures, we are very pleased to have achieved results beyond expectations. We will continue to take the lead in promoting excellent products of Gangnam-gu’s small and medium enterprises to the world through various support projects for overseas market development.”
The district will support six promising beauty companies from Gangnam-gu participating in the ‘Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas’ beauty expo held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 12th to the 14th of this month.

Recipients must bring identification when collecting the funds, and proxy collectors must bring a power of attorney or similar documents.
