Fostering Tourism Startup Entrepreneurs Utilizing Local Tourism Resources
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, opened an academy on the 6th at the Cheongwadae set of Hapcheon Film Theme Park to foster tourism startup entrepreneurs utilizing local tourism resources.
This academy is promoted as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's planned public contest-type regional development project. Over the past three months, 29 applicants were selected through a public announcement, and from July 6, the program will be conducted through online and offline education with basic (once a week) and advanced (twice a week) courses.
The curriculum includes understanding cultural tourism enterprises, case studies, and establishing business plans for cultural tourism companies. The instructors consist of experts active as entrepreneurs in the cultural tourism field, aiming to develop capabilities to plan and operate differentiated content as well as to directly discover unique business items.
Moon Dong-gu, Director of the Tourism Promotion Division, said, "Through this education, we expect that aspiring cultural tourism entrepreneurs who take on challenges will collaborate together, and with experts participating as mentors, it will serve as an opportunity to nurture diverse cultural tourism entrepreneurs."
