Purchased 1.9 Billion Won Last Year, Achieving 188% of Target

Supporting Market Expansion This Year Through Priority Purchasing Activation and Product Promotion

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 5th that it will promote the ‘2022 Public Institution Priority Purchase Disclosure System’ targeting social economy enterprises struggling due to COVID-19 and economic recession.

The Public Institution Priority Purchase Disclosure System is a system that supports increasing sales of social economy enterprises through priority purchases of goods or service contracts.

Buk-gu achieved purchase results of 1,907 million KRW, which is 188% of last year’s purchase target amount of 1,009 million KRW.

This year, priority purchases will be conducted with a target of 1,097 million KRW, an increase of 88 million KRW.

To increase the purchase rate, monthly purchase performance by department is managed, and the necessity of public purchases and products are promoted to purchasing officers.

In particular, to support the revitalization of the social economy and product promotion, a Social Economy Enterprise Experience Day is operated for residents and local youth.

Director Moon said, “We will continue to promote various support measures, including the priority purchase disclosure system, to help expand sales channels for social economy enterprises.”
