[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum will operate the second half of the 'Small Science Museum in the Park' once a month from July to November (except August) at the National Gwangju Museum, following the first half held at Uchi Park.
The Small Science Museum in the Park is an event where the National Gwangju Science Museum visits parks and cultural facilities in the Gwangju area to directly engage citizens in spreading scientific culture.
The Small Science Museum in the Park offers free access to scientific exhibits and solar observation experiences, as well as robot dance performances, for people of all ages without any restrictions.
Additionally, visiting citizens are provided with free solar observation cards to observe the sun anytime and anywhere, and they have the opportunity to take photos with the dance robot.
Kim Yong-il, an administrative officer in charge of the event at the National Gwangju Science Museum, stated, "About 5,000 citizens visited the event held eight times at Uchi Park in the first half of the year, enjoying scientific culture as play in the park," and added, "We have prepared various scientific experience programs for the second half of the year, so we hope many citizens will participate."
The outdoor 'Small Science Museum in the Park' event may be rescheduled to the following week depending on weather conditions such as rain or worsening fine dust on the day of the event.
