Police Say "No Signs of Crime Victimization"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] Police have launched an investigation after a woman in her 20s, a working professional, has been missing for a week near Gayang Station on Seoul Subway Line 9.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 5th that they are searching for Kim Ga-eul (24), who went missing near Gayang Station in Gangseo-gu on the 27th of last month.
Kim is 163 cm tall with a slim build, has a short haircut, and has a tattoo on her left arm. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a beige top, black pants, and rain boots.
According to Kim’s older sister, Kim visited a hair salon near Gangnam-gu, where her company is located, on the day she went missing. Kim posted on her social media, “Got caught in wind and rain right after a perm, lost 130,000 won. As expected, Gangnam is a place where you get robbed with your eyes open.”
Afterwards, contact with family and acquaintances was lost from 9:30 p.m. on the same day. The last place Kim was seen was near Gayang Station.
A police official stated, “No signs of criminal victimization have been found,” and added, “Search efforts are ongoing.”
