Yeosu City, Temporary Legalization of 'Unregistered Outdoor Fixed Advertisements'

From July 4 to August 12... Permits and Reports Processed Without Disadvantageous Administrative Sanctions

Yeosu City, Temporary Legalization of 'Unregistered Outdoor Fixed Advertisements'

[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Jeonnam Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that from July 4 to August 12, it will conduct a temporary legalization of unregistered fixed outdoor advertisements that have not obtained permits or reports.

Accordingly, during the legalization period, permits and reports can be submitted without disadvantageous administrative sanctions. However, the display methods stipulated by the 「Outdoor Advertisement Act」 must be strictly followed.

The legalization targets only fixed outdoor advertisements such as wall-mounted signs, protruding signs, pole signs, and rooftop signs.

The city minimized citizens' inconvenience by simplifying the submission documents for voluntary reports to encourage the legalization of unregistered advertisements.

In addition, for advertisements subject to safety inspections, only the safety inspection fee must be paid, and the permit/report fees are fully waived.

A city official said, “We expect this legalization project to be an opportunity to manage unregistered outdoor advertisements more systematically. Since the permit/report fees are also waived, we strongly encourage voluntary reporting during this opportunity,” and added, “We will also conduct thorough safety inspections of outdoor advertisements to do our best to prevent safety accidents.”
