[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Dong-A ST announced on the 5th that it has signed a domestic licensing agreement for the electrocardiogram (ECG) remote monitoring platform ‘HiCardi’ with Meju, a digital healthcare company developing wearable ECG patches and a platform capable of real-time monitoring of multiple patients.
Meju will exclusively supply the ECG remote platforms ‘HiCardi’, ‘HiCardi Plus’, and ‘Live Studio’ to Dong-A ST. Dong-A ST will handle sales and marketing of HiCardi, HiCardi Plus, and Live Studio at tertiary general hospitals, general hospitals, specialized hospitals, and clinics.
HiCardi is a mobile biometric signal monitoring system that uses a wearable patch and smartphone to monitor ECG, heart rate, body surface temperature, and respiration of multiple patients in real time anytime and anywhere. HiCardi, which has obtained Class 2 medical device approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, is a lightweight wearable patch type that resolves the inconveniences experienced by patients and medical staff with conventional ECG devices.
A Dong-A ST official said, “Based on Meju’s technological capabilities and Dong-A ST’s competitiveness, both companies will continue to cooperate to create positive synergy,” adding, “We hope that heart disease patients can conveniently transmit and check ECG data at hospitals without visiting in person through the HiCardi remote ECG platform, helping them live better lives.”
