[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is conducting the 'Bucheon City KakaoTalk Channel Friend Discount Event' to support the recovery of daily life exhausted by COVID-19 and to revitalize the local commercial district.

By becoming friends with Bucheon City on the KakaoTalk channel, users will receive KakaoTalk coupons that allow free or discounted access to major tourist facilities in Bucheon, popular multi-use facilities for children, and sports viewing.

The coupons can be used until December 31 of this year, while Woongjin Playdoci Waterpark and Ball Bear Park can be used until the 22nd of this month.

Bucheon Natural Ecology Park offers free admission, Bucheon City Museum, Bucheon Robo Park, and Bucheon FC home games offer a 50% discount, Bucheon Astronomical Science Museum offers a 30% discount, Supia and Korea Manhwa Museum offer a 20% discount, and Hana One Q Women's Basketball Team (planned) offers a 10% discount.

Additionally, discounts are available at Woongjin Playdoci (Waterpark and Aquarium Bucheon branch), Bird Palace, Cafe Tteulak (Bucheon City Hall and Wonmi Library), and kids cafes (Hello Pangpang Jungdong branch, Cocomong Kids Land Bucheon branch, Lia Kids Cafe). A Bucheon City official stated, "We expect this event to serve as a hopeful bucket to revitalize local tourism and commercial districts that have been stagnant due to the impact of COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to discover partner and discount businesses so that more citizens can benefit."
