[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Global fandom platform FANTOO announced on the 5th that it is approaching 3 million subscribers just over a year after its launch.
Developed by Hallyu platform company Hallyu Bank, FANTOO is a platform focused on the 'Fanustry.' Fanustry is a newly coined term combining 'Fan' and 'Industry,' referring to a new economy created through communication among fans and secondary creations, moving beyond the first-generation industry of purchasing artist-related goods.
FANTOO explained that it was created with a focus on the voluntary participation and play culture of fans who have emerged as new economic agents. From the beginning of its launch, FANTOO attracted users with various events and content tailored to the level of fans, while supporting free social and creative activities among fandoms of the same artist or interests.
The scalability generated by users is also cited as an advantage of FANTOO. Without relying on specific artists and regardless of genre or field, the platform sequentially opens services that meet user needs, thereby increasing the time users spend on the platform. Thanks to this, FANTOO surpassed 1 million users last May and showed nearly 200% growth in just two months.
A FANTOO representative said, "Under the motto of 'a space where fans enjoy,' we aim to be an all-in-one platform encompassing information sharing, creative activities, and commerce among users," adding, "Please look forward to 'FANTOO 2.0,' which focuses on expanding diverse user experiences."
