Willa June Best Content... Keigo Higashino's 'The Name of the Game is Kidnapping'


[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The most used content on the audiobook subscription service Willa in June was Keigo Higashino's "The Name of the Game is Kidnapping."


In second place was "Madam Taro," the 11th lineup of the Korean Mystery Literature Series. The unique theme of Taro and the lively characters were brought to life through the voice acting and performances of the narrators.


"Subjective Questions" by Jang Woo-seok and "Love and Craft, Love in Pungyo Silvertown" by Kim Jae-hee, both introduced through the Korean Mystery Literature Series, also ranked within the top 10.


Web novel audiobooks continue to gain steady popularity. "Hojupmongjeon," which appears in the best rankings every month, took third place. Additionally, "The Birth of an Exception," nearing completion, ranked seventh, receiving enthusiastic attention from subscribers.


Jun Ikedo's new book "Hanja and Naoki: Arlerkang and the Jester" also ranked fifth. It is praised for vividly expressing the excitement of the protagonist uncovering corporate corruption through the audiobook format.


Other titles in the rankings include book therapist Kwon Min-chang's "Live Well, That's the Best Revenge," nomad author’s new book "My Investment Starts at 4 AM," and the report "Super Pumped," which describes the successes and failures of Uber CEO Travis Kalanick.
