In the weekly women's golf world rankings officially announced on the morning of the 5th (Korean time), she received 1.35 points, jumping 31 places from 115th last week. She accumulated points by winning the McCol Monapark Open (total prize money 800 million KRW) of the KLPGA Tour, which ended on the 3rd at Birch Hill Golf Course in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, by 2 strokes. It was her first win of the season and her second career win, a ‘wire-to-wire’ victory maintaining the lead throughout the three days.
Ko Jin-young (27) remains 1st, Minjee Lee (Australia) 2nd, and Nelly Korda (USA) held 3rd place. Lydia Ko (New Zealand) pushed rookie No. 1 Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand) down to 5th and rose to 4th. Lexi Thompson (USA) is 6th, and Nasa Hataoka (Japan) is positioned 7th. Korea's Kim Hyo-joo (27) is 8th, Jeon In-ji (28) 11th, Kim Se-young (29) 12th, ‘Golf Queen’ Park In-bee (34) 13th, ‘Domestic No. 1’ Park Min-ji (24) 16th, and ‘Rookie No. 2’ Choi Hye-jin (23) is ranked 25th.
