[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the '2022 National Disabled Students e-Festival Busan Preliminary Competition' on the 5th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Busan Special Education Support Center training room.
The competition will be held face-to-face for the first time in three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020.
The competition consists of an 'Information Contest' to develop the informatization skills of special education students attending special schools, and an 'eSports Competition' to enhance quality of life through healthy leisure activities.
The 'Information Contest' includes 12 events such as Hangul Word Processor, PowerPoint, Robot Coding, SW Coding, and Smart Search, with 34 participants.
The 'eSports Competition' features 7 events including Kinect Sports Athletics, Hearthstone, Othello, Modoo Marble, Magu Magu, and Clash Royale, with 28 participants.
In the Othello, Modoo Marble, Magu Magu, and Clash Royale events, participants compete in teams of two.
The 23 students who take first place in each event will represent Busan at the '2022 National Disabled Students e-Festival,' held both online and offline over two days from September 6 to 7.
Kwon Hyuk-je, Director of Secondary Education at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "The competition will be an opportunity for special education students to improve their IT device skills and experience a sense of achievement through healthy leisure activities," adding, "We will continue to support various educational activities so that disabled students can realize their dreams and talents."
