Gwangyang City Council Completes Formation of Standing Committees for the First Half of the 9th Council

Completion of Election for General Affairs, SanGeon, and Operations Committee Members and Chairperson

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 4th, the Gwangyang City Council in Jeonnam held the 2nd plenary session of the 310th extraordinary meeting and announced the completion of the formation of the 9th term first half standing committee members and the election of committee chairpersons.

At the plenary session, members of each standing committee were formed, and Council Operations Committee Chairperson Ahn Young-heon, General Affairs Committee Chairperson Jeong Gu-ho, and Industry and Construction Committee Chairperson Choi Dae-won were elected.

Ahn Young-heon, Chairperson of the Council Operations Committee, said in his greeting, "We will operate the rational 9th Gwangyang City Council pursuing citizens' happiness through communication and cooperation."

Jeong Gu-ho, Chairperson of the General Affairs Committee, expressed his thoughts, saying, "We will respond to the new changes desired by citizens and faithfully carry out the given responsibilities through challenge and cooperation."

Choi Dae-won, Chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee, pledged, "We will do our best for the citizens by collecting various opinions from them and operating with a focus on field visits."

Meanwhile, the Gwangyang City Council will hold the 311th extraordinary meeting on July 21, report the results of appointing the Vice Chairperson of the Council Operations Committee and the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Ethics Special Committee at the plenary session, and then begin full-scale legislative activities.
