Yusimun Euiwon Elected as Chairperson, Kim Suchul Euiwon as Vice Chairperson
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] The Jeonnam Gurye County Council (Chairman Yu Simun) announced that on the 1st, it held the 290th extraordinary session, completed the formation of the 9th council's first half leadership, and held an opening ceremony.
As a result of the chairman election, Democratic Party member Yu Simun from the first electoral district was elected as the chairman for the first half, and in the vice-chairman election, Democratic Party member Kim Sucheol from the second electoral district was elected as the vice-chairman for the first half.
Member Yu Simun was elected chairman with four votes, and member Kim Sucheol was elected vice-chairman with four votes.
In the afternoon, the opening ceremony was held with the attendance of Kim Sunho, Gurye County Governor, executives of the Jaegyeong Gurye County Hometown Association (President Kim Gwangtae), and heads of towns and townships, among other distinguished guests.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Yu Simun, elected as the chairman for the first half of the 9th council, stated that he aims to ▲ harmonize the values of oversight, checks and balances, cooperation, and coexistence in county administration ▲ always learn to cultivate legislative capabilities and become a policy-oriented council that works well ▲ provide lifestyle-oriented legislation that approaches the residents ▲ and pursue an open council that communicates with the residents.
He further appealed to work together to create Gurye, a city where anyone would want to come and live, by nurturing dreams and hopes for the younger generation, providing the youth with confidence in a stable living environment, and offering comfortable living for the elderly.
Meanwhile, after the opening ceremony, a meeting was held with the executives of the Jaegyeong Gurye County Hometown Association who attended the ceremony, providing time to exchange various opinions on local issues and the development of Gurye.
