[Asia Economy Yeongnam Newsroom, reporter Hwang Dooyeol] Jeonggwan Library in Gijang County, Busan, will host a book talk on July 23, inviting authors Kim Subin (Kim Soop) and Lee Eunbi (Lee Namu), who co-manage the independent publishing house ‘Green University’ based in Gijang County and co-authored ‘Chorok-i Ttaengginda’ (Craving Green).
The book talk will be held under the theme of ‘Find Your Green (Finding Your ‘Green’!)’.
This event is the ‘summer’ edition of ‘Meeting Local Authors from Every Corner of Our Neighborhood with the Changing Seasons,’ a program that invites local authors from Gijang County as storytellers to foster communication with community residents.
During the event, the two authors will discuss the meaning of ‘green’ in an era of fierce competition, fine dust, and viruses.
The book talk will take place at 2:00 p.m. on July 23 in the Spring Lecture Room on the second floor of Jeonggwan Library. Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on July 5 on the Jeonggwan Library website, and participation is limited to the first 20 on-site applicants.
For more details about the book talk, please refer to the Jeonggwan Library website or contact the Gijang County Library or the Jeonggwan Library team.
To promote local humanities in everyday life, Jeonggwan Library held a ‘spring’ session on children’s literature in April, will hold the ‘summer’ essay session on July 23, and plans to continue with a ‘novel’ session in the fall and a ‘poetry’ session in the winter, bringing book talks to local residents each season.
