Sejong Telecom Builds 'Smart Safety Platform Solution' for Taeyoung Construction

500 Delivery Contracts Signed Nationwide with Industrial Sites

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Sejong Telecom announced on the 4th that it has signed a supply contract for a ‘Smart Safety Platform Solution’ optimized for responding to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act with Taeyoung Construction.

Taeyoung Construction plans to initially supply 500 units of the smart safety solution to its industrial sites nationwide, with additional deployments currently under discussion.

The Serious Accidents Punishment Act, which came into full effect in January, is a law that holds management and corporations accountable for fatalities occurring at industrial sites. While the law mandates the establishment of safety and health management measures, companies are facing difficulties due to limited resources and manpower.

Previously, individual contractors separately installed access control, general CCTV, and other systems, causing maintenance and operational challenges. Through Sejong Telecom’s Smart Safety Platform Solution, access control, CCTV, gas detection, and various sensors are integrated into a single system, enabling comprehensive site management.

Safety managers can monitor real-time site information via cameras, CCTV, sensors, and communication infrastructure installed at each site. In emergencies, they can instruct workers on safety measures through the site-wide or zone-specific control room systems or mobile devices. A 360-degree camera installed on tower cranes detects high-risk situations, unsafe worker behaviors, and visits to hazardous areas, sending alerts to relevant personnel. Mobile smart video equipment is used to monitor blind spots in underground work sites. Real-time warning broadcasts can be issued upon detection of hazards. Multilingual alert messages in Chinese and Vietnamese are also available for multinational workers.
