"Full-Scale ESG Management" Nongshim Publishes Its First Sustainability Report

2021 Sustainability Management Report 'Value Up Nongshim' Published

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nongshim announced on the 4th that it has published the '2021 Sustainability Management Report,' which includes major achievements and future plans of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities.

Through this report, Nongshim selected seven major material issues such as expanding product competitiveness and sustainable supply chain management to achieve its corporate mission of 'contributing to a better life with better products and services.' It also presented specific current status and goals regarding these issues.

Additionally, the report introduced special topics including eco-friendly packaging, win-win programs with local farmers and fishermen, and startup investment achievements. Furthermore, detailed ESG activities and improvements were explained with quantitative results.

A Nongshim official stated, "This report reflects Nongshim's commitment to creating long-term value rather than short-term achievements and to envisioning a sustainable future," adding, "We will publish the report annually to transparently disclose management activities and strive to fulfill our social responsibilities."
